Ben Chaplin (innate Benedict Greenwood in 31 July 1970, London) is an English actor who foremost come to public attention for his performance when Matthew Malone in the first series of the sitcom Game On. Fallowing departing a series (his character was down the road acted by Neil Stuke,) he co-starred in many moving picture including The Truth About Cats and Dogs, Terrence Malick's The Thin Red Line and Birthday Girl.
He has recently been working on the stage, including around Neil LaBute's play This Is How It Goes. He received an Olivier Award Nomination for Best Supporting Performer in The Glass Menagerie & the Tony Award Nomination for Best Actor for The Retreat From either Moscow.
